Manor Renovation

Brief

A full refurbishment of a Grade II listed manor house.

Work

Stage one involved the a complete re-build and restoration of a collapsed stairwell using traditional stonework and lime mortars to the the listed building requirements. Oak-trusses were incorporated into the stairwell and the structure was re-roofed with traditional slate.  In stage two a new kitchen extension was built with green-oak timber and reclaimed stone and roofed with traditional slate. The manor house was completely refurbished throughout with new lime-plaster and built new windows to match existing.  New en-suite bathrooms were added to remodelled bedrooms.  Attention to finishing included rebuilding oak doors and frames.  A new kitchen was remodelled to a contemporary style including bespoke kitchen worktops and butchers blocks.
