FARMHOUSE RENOVATION
Refurbishment and remodelling of a traditional stone farmhouse.
BRIEF
The client wanted a refurbishment of a traditional three-storey Dartmoor stone farmhouse, remodelling living space to a more contemporary feel.
WORK
Working directly with the client and their architects, we removed walls to create additional space and light throughout the building. We put in additional windows and doors, blending old with new to create a contemporary feel throughout. New en-suite bathrooms were created and new landings were built to access new first-floor bedroom. A new guest bedroom with en-suite was added to the ground-floor. Old sash-windows were restored and rejuvenated throughout.
The clients moved back into their dream home within their deadline and the project was delivered on budget.
StoneWood recently returned to build a new cedar clad stable block and future projects will include additional work on an existing summer house and surrounding gardens.
