Remodelling of single-storey building to create substantial additional space.
THE PROJECT
The client wished to expand their single-storey property with an open-plan extension to create a contemporary, spacious kitchen / dining area.
Working directly with the client from original architectural designs, StoneWood removed a solid stone external wall, using a structural steel framework creating the additional extended space. Using a blend of traditional stonework and modern glass and insulating materials, we created a light, open space with views to a new decking area and gardens. We also added and additional bedroom plus en-suite bathroom within the roof space, accessed by a bespoke spiral staircase.
